ECF in St James

Last updated: 18th November 2015

The recent, successful one-day conference, "Our Communities: Our Future" (read more here), is being followed by a series of 6 events across the city. One was held in St James at Exeter City Football Club on Thursday 12 November 2015 at 6.45pm.

ECF is inviting all local people to help in developing a Community Strategy for Exeter which will inform how the neighbourhood portion of CIL funding is spent over the next 5 - 10 years. CIL is the Community Infrastructure Levy, a local authority charge on new developments in an area, of which 15% is allocated to neighbourhood spending (£3.7m in Exeter over 10 years).

Some 30 people attended to have their say about what they believed St James needs and their views will help determine how our community could benefit from this funding.

The consultants leading this consultation expect to produce the draft Community Strategy by next January for adoption by Exeter City Council in March 2016.
